Since my secondary school days, I had a dream—to build a library for people in my village. On this very day in 2020, I shared that vision with a few close individuals and made a firm commitment to turn it into reality. During the first one and a half years, progress was slow. We couldn’t organize any events or anniversaries. But over time, that dream began to take shape.

Gaibandha, March 26: On the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day, Srijonshil Gaibandha paid deep respect and heartfelt gratitude to the countless martyrs at the Gaibandha Victory Monument. Marking the day, members of the organization gathered at 9:00 AM and placed floral wreaths in honor of the fallen heroes. During the tribute, speakers highlighted that the independence of Bangladesh was achieved through the immense sacrifice, courage, and struggle of the martyrs. Their Great sacrifice remains the foundation of our national identity and pride.

Under the project titled “Gaibandha EcoCycle: Youth Innovation for Flood-Resilient Green Economy,” this initiative used art and creativity to highlight the impacts of climate change and promote environmental conservation.

With the aim of building a sustainable economy through the development of eco-friendly entrepreneurs, a Green Entrepreneurship & Marketing Training was held in Gaibandha under the project titled “Gaibandha EcoCycle: Youth Innovation for Flood-Resilient Green Economy.” Organized under the leadership of the local voluntary organization Srijonshil Gaibandha, this training program opened new opportunities for nurturing green entrepreneurs among youth.

With the goal of promoting environmentally friendly agriculture and building a sustainable economy in Gaibandha, a compost production activity has been successfully implemented under the project titled “Gaibandha EcoCycle: Youth Innovation for Flood-Resilient Green Economy.” As part of the project, organic compost was prepared at three locations in the Kamarjani area of Gaibandha. The process of producing eco-friendly organic fertilizer using cow dung and earthworms was demonstrated in practice with the active participation of local youth volunteers and farmers, enabling them to easily replicate the method in their own communities.

A unique Mehendi Festival has been held in Gaibandha under the Initiative of the voluntary organization Srijonshil Gaibandha. The event was organized to highlight the beauty of culture and tradition and to promote cultural practices among young people. The Mehendi Festival took place on Friday (20 March 2026) at the Gaibandha Municipal Park premises, where people of different ages—especially young men and women—participated enthusiastically, creating a festive atmosphere.
