“Let Talent Shine, Let Courage Build Dreams” – Felicitation and Scholarship Distribution Ceremony for Meritorious Students in Gaibandha

In Gaibandha, a felicitation and scholarship distribution ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Philosophy Department, Gaibandha Government College, under the slogan “Let Talent Shine, Let Courage Build Dreams.” In this event, 50 financially disadvantaged students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC examinations were awarded cash scholarships, crests, certificates, and gifts. Many of the students travel several kilometers on their father’s old bicycles to attend school.

The chief guest was Professor Khalilur Rahman, former principal of Gaibandha Government College, and the event was chaired by Abul Hossain Sohag Mridha, owner of Su-Palace and Fashion Palace and director of the Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Teachers, journalists, photographers, and organization representatives delivered speeches during the event. Meritorious student Milan Mia said, “This felicitation is not only a joy but also a source of inspiration for us. We promise to make our country proud in the future.”

A guardian stated, “Though we are poor, this scholarship is a blessing on our children’s educational journey.” Abul Hossain Sohag Mridha said, “We want no talented student in Gaibandha to be deprived of education due to lack of funds.” Md. Mehedi Hasan, Founder President of Srijonshil Gaibandha and Boi Ghor Pathagar, said, “Students will not only achieve good results but also grow up as responsible citizens of society.” As in previous years, this year’s scholarship distribution program was successfully held, focusing on underprivileged, marginalized, and disabled students from the district.

গাইবান্ধায় “আলো ছড়াক মেধা, স্বপ্ন গড়ুক সাহস” স্লোগান নিয়ে গাইবান্ধা সরকারি কলেজের দর্শন বিভাগের সম্মেলন কক্ষে কৃতি শিক্ষার্থীদের সংবর্ধনা ও শিক্ষা বৃত্তি বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। অনুষ্ঠানে এসএসসি জিপিএ-৫ প্রাপ্ত এবং আর্থিকভাবে অসচ্ছল ৫০ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে নগদ অর্থ, ক্রেস্ট, সনদপত্র ও উপহার সামগ্রী প্রদান করা হয়। অনেক শিক্ষার্থী বাবার পুরোনো সাইকেলে কয়েক কিলোমিটার পথ পাড়ি দিয়ে স্কুলে আসেন।

অনুষ্ঠানের প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন গাইবান্ধা সরকারি কলেজের সাবেক অধ্যক্ষ প্রফেসর খলিলুর রহমান, এবং সভাপতিত্ব করেন সু-প্যালেস ও ফ্যাশন প্যালেসের স্বত্বাধিকারী ও গাইবান্ধা চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রির পরিচালক আবুল হোসেন সোহাগ মৃধা। অনুষ্ঠানে শিক্ষক, সাংবাদিক, ফটোগ্রাফার ও সংগঠন প্রতিনিধিরা বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন। কৃতি শিক্ষার্থী মিলন মিয়া বলেন, “এ সংবর্ধনা আমাদের জন্য শুধু আনন্দ নয়, বরং প্রেরণার উৎস। আমরা প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি, ভবিষ্যতে দেশের গর্ব হব।”

এক অভিভাবক জানান, “অর্থের অভাবে যেন কোনো মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী শিক্ষার বাইরে না পড়ে, আজকের এই বৃত্তি তারই প্রমাণ।” সু-প্যালেসের স্বত্বাধিকারী আবুল হোসেন সোহাগ মৃধা বলেন, “আমরা চাই, গাইবান্ধার কোনো মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী অভাবের কারণে শিক্ষার আলো থেকে বঞ্চিত না হয়।” সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ও বই ঘর পাঠাগারের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সভাপতি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান বলেন, “শিক্ষার্থীরা শুধু ভালো ফলই করবে না, বরং সমাজের দায়িত্বশীল নাগরিক হিসেবেও গড়ে উঠবে।” প্রতিবছরের মতো এবারও জেলার সুবিধাবঞ্চিত, প্রান্তিক ও প্রতিবন্ধী শিক্ষার্থীদের বৃত্তি প্রদান কার্যক্রম সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
