Srijonshil Gaibandha Signs MoU under VSO Bangladesh’s Youth Climate Action Small Grants

With the belief that the future of climate action can be shaped by young people, Srijonshil Gaibandha, a voluntary organization, has embarked on a new journey by receiving the Youth Climate Action Small Grants from VSO Bangladesh. Through this achievement, the organization has taken an important step toward climate-resilient development.

On this occasion, an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held on 14 January 2025 at the hall room of Udayan Swabalambi Sangstha, located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, in a warm and cordial atmosphere.

The event was attended by Khabirul Haque Kamal, Country Director of VSO Bangladesh; Md. Mehedi Hasan, President of Srijonshil Gaibandha; Tuba Rahman, Project Officer; and members of NYF. The speakers praised the enthusiasm, commitment, and leadership of young people and highlighted the importance of their active role in addressing the climate crisis.

The speakers stated that this Memorandum of Understanding is not merely a formal agreement; rather, it is a symbol of mutual trust, cooperation, and transparency. Through this partnership, accountability in project implementation will be further strengthened, and the path will be paved for effective youth-led climate initiatives at the local level.

Notably, this is the first project of Srijonshil Gaibandha, marking a memorable milestone in the organization’s journey. The stakeholders expressed optimism that the successful implementation of this project will inspire the adoption of more innovative, sustainable, and timely initiatives in the future, and will further strengthen youth voices and leadership in climate-resilient development.

তরুণদের হাত ধরেই বদলে যেতে পারে জলবায়ুর ভবিষ্যৎ এই বিশ্বাসকে সামনে রেখে নতুন এক যাত্রা শুরু করলো স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা। VSO Bangladesh-এর Youth Climate Action Small Grants অর্জনের মাধ্যমে সংগঠনটি জলবায়ু সহনশীল উন্নয়নের পথে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ নিল।

এই উপলক্ষে গত ১৪ জানুয়ারি ২০২৫, ঢাকার মোহাম্মদপুরে অবস্থিত উদয়ন স্বাবলম্বী সংস্থার হল রুমে আন্তরিক পরিবেশে একটি আনুষ্ঠানিক সমঝোতা স্মারক (MoU) স্বাক্ষর অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন VSO Bangladesh-এর কান্ট্রি ডিরেক্টর খবিরুল হক কামাল, সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা’র সভাপতি মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান, প্রজেক্ট অফিসার তুবা রহমান এবং NYF-এর সদস্যবৃন্দ। অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তারা তরুণদের উদ্যম, দায়বদ্ধতা ও নেতৃত্বের প্রশংসা করেন এবং জলবায়ু সংকট মোকাবিলায় তাদের সক্রিয় ভূমিকার গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন।

বক্তারা বলেন, এই সমঝোতা স্মারক কেবল একটি চুক্তিই নয়, বরং এটি পারস্পরিক আস্থা, সহযোগিতা ও স্বচ্ছতার প্রতীক। এর মাধ্যমে প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নে দায়বদ্ধতা আরও সুদৃঢ় হবে এবং স্থানীয় পর্যায়ে তরুণদের নেতৃত্বে কার্যকর জলবায়ু উদ্যোগ বাস্তবায়নের পথ প্রশস্ত হবে।

উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে, এটি সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা’র প্রথম প্রকল্প, যা সংগঠনের যাত্রাপথে এক স্মরণীয় মাইলফলক। সংশ্লিষ্টরা আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন এই প্রকল্পের সফল বাস্তবায়ন ভবিষ্যতে আরও নতুন, টেকসই ও সময়োপযোগী উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের অনুপ্রেরণা জোগাবে এবং জলবায়ু সহনশীল উন্নয়নে তরুণদের কণ্ঠ ও নেতৃত্বকে আরও শক্তিশালী করবে।
