Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation Observes International Clean Energy Day 2026 in Gaibandha

Gaibandha, January 26, 2026: On the occasion of International Clean Energy Day 2026, Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation, a voluntary organization, organized a discussion meeting and awareness program in Gaibandha. The event was held on Monday (January 26) at the Kachari Bazar Press Club premises in Gaibandha town.

The theme of this year’s observance was “Say No to Fossil Fuels” and “Renewable Energy & Good Governance for Sustainable Development.”

Speakers at the discussion emphasized that reducing the use of fossil fuels and promoting renewable energy has become an urgent necessity to address the increasing risks of climate change and environmental degradation. They also highlighted the importance of good governance and transparent policies alongside clean energy to ensure sustainable development.

The speakers further noted that the use of solar energy, wind energy, and other renewable sources can help protect the environment while providing long-term economic benefits. Special emphasis was placed on raising awareness and engaging the younger generation in clean energy initiatives.

Local journalists, representatives of social organizations, students, and young volunteers participated in the program. The event concluded with a collective commitment to work together for environmental protection, sustainable development, and the establishment of transparent and accountable governance.

The organizers stated that Srijonshil Gaibandha Foundation will continue to organize similar initiatives in the future to raise public awareness about clean and renewable energy.

গাইবান্ধা, ২৬ জানুয়ারি ২০২৬: আন্তর্জাতিক ক্লিন এনার্জি দিবস ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে গাইবান্ধায় আলোচনা সভা ও সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করেছে স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশন। সোমবার (২৬ জানুয়ারি) শহরের কাচারি বাজার প্রেস ক্লাব, গাইবান্ধা প্রাঙ্গণে এ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

এবারের প্রতিপাদ্য ছিল— “Say No to Fossil Fuels” এবং “Renewable Energy & Good Governance for Sustainable Development”।

আলোচনা সভায় বক্তারা বলেন, জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন ও পরিবেশ বিপর্যয়ের ক্রমবর্ধমান ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলায় জীবাশ্ম জ্বালানির ব্যবহার কমিয়ে নবায়নযোগ্য জ্বালানির প্রসার এখন সময়ের দাবি। টেকসই উন্নয়ন নিশ্চিত করতে পরিচ্ছন্ন জ্বালানির পাশাপাশি সুশাসন ও স্বচ্ছ নীতিমালার গুরুত্বের ওপরও জোর দেওয়া হয়।

বক্তারা আরও উল্লেখ করেন, সৌরশক্তি, বায়ুশক্তি ও অন্যান্য নবায়নযোগ্য জ্বালানি ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে পরিবেশ রক্ষা করা সম্ভব এবং একই সঙ্গে দীর্ঘমেয়াদে অর্থনৈতিকভাবে লাভবান হওয়া যায়। এ ক্ষেত্রে তরুণ প্রজন্মকে সচেতন ও সম্পৃক্ত করার ওপর বিশেষ গুরুত্বারোপ করা হয়।

আলোচনা সভায় স্থানীয় সাংবাদিক, সামাজিক সংগঠনের প্রতিনিধি, শিক্ষার্থী ও তরুণ স্বেচ্ছাসেবীরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। কর্মসূচি থেকে পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণ, টেকসই উন্নয়ন এবং স্বচ্ছ ও জবাবদিহিমূলক শাসনব্যবস্থা প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে সম্মিলিতভাবে কাজ করার অঙ্গীকার ব্যক্ত করা হয়।

অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজকরা জানান, পরিচ্ছন্ন জ্বালানি ব্যবহারের বিষয়ে জনসচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে সৃজনশীল গাইবান্ধা ফাউন্ডেশন ভবিষ্যতেও এ ধরনের কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত রাখবে।
